The Importance of Being Present with Yourself

True fulfillment begins with the courage to disconnect from distractions and deeply connect with your inner self."

Recently, I visited a local suana bath-house. I found the experience fascinating because it highlighted a crucial aspect of personal growth: the need to connect deeply with yourself. Often, places like this, or even a park, offer the perfect environment to ground yourself and optimize your well-being. However, the true benefit of such experiences comes from your ability to connect with your inner self and, ultimately, with the source—your higher mind.

The Modern Distraction

While at the sauna bath-house, I noticed almost everyone was engrossed in their phones or laptops. This struck me as a missed opportunity for deeper connection. For me, visiting such a place was a chance to disconnect from the daily grind—business, writing, sharing ideas—and simply be present. It was about chilling out, being still, and connecting with myself on a deeper level.

The Challenge of Being Alone

We live in a world full of distractions—video games, texting, social media—that keep us from cultivating true well-being. The challenge is to be okay with being alone, truly alone. This doesn't mean sitting at home with the TV or phone. It means being in a space where you can examine and witness your own mind, think about things that fascinate you, and enter a realm of wonder and mystery.

True Self-Connection

Ask yourself: Do you really know who you are? This spiritual journey is about understanding and learning about yourself. Many of us aren't fully fulfilled or happy in all areas of our lives. The key to fulfillment is coming into alignment with your true self. To do this, you must know who you are.

Escapism vs. Connection

It's easy to get distracted by life's stressors and turn to escapism. While escapism is valid, there comes a time when you must disconnect from these distractions and face your issues head-on. This starts with collecting insights about who you are, followed by self-acceptance and love. Self-acceptance opens up life, turning it into a playground of possibilities.

Practical Steps for Self-Connection

Can you sit alone for 5, 10, 30 minutes, or even an hour without picking up your phone, a book, or the remote? The longer you go without connecting with yourself, the longer you'll go without learning how to manifest and materialize the life you want.

Recognizing Your Role in Your Life

Look at your role in your life's patterns. For example, in relationships, if you notice unfulfilled patterns, consider your role. Are you compromising who you are to be with someone? To attract what resonates with you, you must first be true to yourself. This self-realization often involves trials and errors in various aspects of life.

The Reward of Self-Acceptance

When you accept yourself, you attract what you desire. After reaching this point of self-acceptance, I attracted my life partner. It required me to be authentic and align with my true self, values, and lifestyle.
