The Game of Life

Competing Against Yourself

Life isn't a competition against others. It’s not a contest against the universe or anyone you perceive as a rival. The true game of life is played against yourself. Not your higher self, which aims to support and uplift you, but your ego self—the part of you shaped by trauma, history, and attachment to identity and past experiences. This ego self is your real competitor, the one that fills you with doubt and tells you why you can't or shouldn't pursue your dreams.

Your belief systems are often the biggest obstacles to your success. They are not just a set of thoughts but powerful forces that can either propel you forward or hold you back. The notion that someone else is stopping you from achieving your goals is a misconception. Just as no one else can save you, no one is actively trying to hinder you. Everyone is focused on their own journey, striving to create a life that resonates with their own desires.

By understanding this, you remove the perceived barriers that others or the universe might be placing in your path. This shift in mindset not only increases your chances of success but virtually guarantees it. When you take full responsibility for your life, recognizing that success is about aligning yourself with your desires and putting in the necessary work consistently, you empower yourself to achieve your goals.

Success doesn't happen in isolation. While you can't achieve it alone, when you are driven and consistent in pursuing your dreams, others will support you. There will be people who don’t align with your vision, but there will also be those who do. Many successful individuals, whether they achieved success in positive or negative ways, were determined and consistent. Those driven by ego often become villains, while those driven by the good aspects of self—your consciousness—become heroes. Your consciousness sees the oneness in all things and inspires you to take ideas and passions as gifts to be nurtured and shared.

When you recognize that your inspiration is a gift, you begin to see the importance of cultivating and sharing it. Doing so not only rewards you but also benefits others. Understanding the connection of oneness between your gift and the world helps you take ownership of your inspiration. Being focused, diligent, determined, and consistent creates a pathway to success. People are inspired by your dedication and commitment, and they help you along the way because they see a part of themselves in you. Your job is to remind them that they too have the ability to achieve their dreams.

The game of life is not about competing with others. It's about isolating your ego, recognizing its protective but limiting nature, and following your consciousness. Your ego may create doubts and fears, urging you to procrastinate and hesitate. By acknowledging these doubts but not letting them control you, you can move forward. Consciousness provides you with ideas and the first steps to take. As you follow these steps with faith, the next steps will be revealed.

Faith in yourself is crucial on your journey of self-discovery and self-realization. This is how you win the game of life. Embrace this understanding, and you will see that success is within your reach.
