Embracing the Eternal Newness of Consciousness

Inspired by Osho

Consciousness is perpetually new, always in a state of renewal and growth. However, by identifying solely with your physical body, you create a linear perception of life, aging, and death. This identification is the root of many of your troubles. To transcend this, you must embrace life fully and learn the basics of living, loving, and laughing as if you were starting anew.

Jump into Life

Veet Vishada, you need to start from the ABCs of life. Life is brief, so don't waste it in fear. Instead, dive headfirst into life's deepest waters. Life itself is the only true redeemer from the fear of death. What seems like the end of life is, for the awakened, the beginning of a new, grander, and more luminous existence.

Live Fully and Authentically

Start by falling in love—this simple act can make you feel at least ten percent more alive. Enjoy your meals and savor the flavors. Appreciate the beauty of the world around you. By doing so, you become more alive with each passing moment. Free yourself from bondages that stifle your spirit, such as restrictive relationships. Often, marriage can feel like a slow death, turning vibrant individuals into lifeless beings. When you see a couple who look long-faced and saintly, they are likely husband and wife. In contrast, those who laugh and enjoy themselves often belong to someone else.

Life is a Blessing

To be truly alive, engage with life in every aspect with intensity and totality. Life is a blessing, not a sin or guilt. It is the greatest gift existence has given you, free of charge. Recognize its value and seize every moment. When there's an opportunity to dance, don’t be a bystander—participate. When people are laughing, don’t hold back—laugh with your whole heart.

Take inspiration from Sardar, who laughs without worrying whether anyone else is laughing. He often starts the laughter, and others join in, realizing it’s okay to let go and laugh.

Affirming Life

Meditation, love, and creativity bring you closer to life. Enjoying the small pleasures, often condemned by so-called saints, also brings you closer to life. My approach is life-affirmative. Anything that denies life is, to me, irreligious. Sadly, many traditional religions have denied life’s affirmation. The more you shrink away from life, the more you feel dead inside, dragging yourself from the cradle to the grave. The only satisfaction comes from ego fulfillment because others think you’re a saint.

A Lighthearted Perspective: The Duck Story

Consider the story of Farmer Giles and his three sons. He gave each a duck, instructing them to sell it for the highest price to inherit the farm. The first son sold his for ten dollars, the second for fifteen. The third son, a dreamer, was approached by a village girl who offered to make love in exchange for the duck. They had such a good time that she returned the duck for another round. While wandering home, a car hit and killed the duck. The driver, feeling guilty, gave him twenty dollars.

When Farmer Giles asked how he fared, the boy replied, “I got fucked for a duck, got a duck for a fuck, and twenty dollars for a fucked-up duck.”

Enjoy Life to the Fullest

Look at the lighter side of life and enjoy it to the fullest. Only through the experience of life, love, and laughter can you dispel the darkness of fear. Embrace these experiences, and you will find that fear has no place in your life.
