Discovering My Spiritual Path: A Personal Insight
If you've been following my content, you know I often dive deep into topics of spirituality, metaphysics, and consciousness. However, before we proceed further, I feel it's essential to give you a brief overview of my journey. Understanding the foundation of my teachings will help you grasp the context and significance of the content I share.
The Power Behind My Doctrine
You might have noticed the doctrine I prominently display. Some wonder why I feel the need to showcase it. It's a symbol, not just of academic achievement, but of years of dedication. Behind that piece of paper are years of love, sweat, tears, and unyielding passion for subjects close to my heart. My core belief is that everyone deserves happiness and fulfillment. If I can plant a seed to help guide you on your path, then I've done my duty.
My Origins
Born and raised in the Bronx, I spent the initial years of my life there before moving to Queens. Growing up, I was an introverted child, never causing much trouble, and maintaining a close circle of friends. To this day, many from that circle remain my closest allies. To me, if you're my friend, you're family.
Though I might not always like everyone, I love them at a core level. My childhood was marked by a propensity for observation, largely influenced by my father's advice to watch, learn, and understand before diving into anything.
A Journey Through Religions
Religion and spirituality always intrigued me. Raised as a Methodist Christian, my exposure to religion was limited to occasional church visits during holidays. However, just before high school, I grew curious about Islam, inspired by my wonderful Muslim relatives. This led me to attend a Muslim high school in Corona, Queens. Here, I found many similarities between Islam and Christianity, more than the differences that are often highlighted.
Later, I explored Seventh-day Adventism, finding its literal interpretation of the Bible captivating. However, that too wasn't the perfect fit for me. Buddhism's teachings on self-awareness resonated deeply, making me think that if I ever settled on a religion, it would be Buddhism. My exploration continued to Bahaism and eventually to metaphysical science and New Age spirituality.
The Power of Interpretation
Throughout my spiritual journey, one profound realization stood out: the power of interpretation. Every religious doctrine or text can be interpreted differently based on individual perspectives. While one might find meaning in a certain scripture, another could derive an entirely different understanding. This realization forms one of the pillars of my teachings: your spiritual path is unique to you.
My Commitment to Teaching
Over three decades, my immersion in spiritual studies has been more than just academic. It's a deep-rooted passion. The doctrine I showcase is a reminder of my commitment to being a teacher. For some, seeing a Ph.D. adds validity to my teachings, but for me, it's a reminder of my mission.
While religions and spiritual paths might differ, they all emphasize love, compassion, and understanding. It's not about the power of the doctrine or scripture but about the power within us that gives it significance.
Invitation to a Shared Journey
After spending over 30 years studying and understanding various spiritual paths, I've realized one thing: our purpose is both discovered and chosen. As you tread on your unique journey, I invite you to walk alongside me. While I offer my insights and perspectives, remember that this is your path. Let's share this journey, helping each other make informed decisions and commitments.
